The Maintenance Mechanic works under the direction of the Maintenance Manager to perform a wide variety of maintenance functions required to maintain the physical building at AREA15 and other areas of the property as assigned. The ideal candidate will ensure OSHA compliance and safe operations of equipment while performing duties. Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with vendors, coworkers, and the general public Complete daily property overview and ensure the building is up to operational standards prior to opening to the public. Complete work order requests as needed and perform general maintenance and repairs, as assigned throughout common areas or as requested by department Be a self- starter and able to perform duties to completion under minimal supervision Monitor the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment Installing, painting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various components. Monitor and maintain mechanical/HVAC equipment Operate and maintain equipment such as, but not limited to, lifts, vehicles, and power tools. Ensure exemplary maintenance protocols while complying with required security, safety and environmental codes and ordinances Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and reports all irregular issues to management and be an integral role in finding the solution Any other related work that may be requested of the maintenance department Other duties as assigned   QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: High School Diploma or GED required 1-3 years of experience in related field Technical skills preferred such as Plumbing or Electrical, but not required. Knowledge of fire alarm and sprinkler systems Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must have open availability and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to operate in extreme weather conditions as experienced in Las Vegas Ability to acquire and possess a valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record Team-oriented: supportive, cooperative, and collaborative Working knowledge MS suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Scissor lift and forklift experience/certification desired. Knowledge of OSHA guidelines required. Lock-out-tag-out, Blood Borne Pathogens and other safety training is required OSHA 10 preferred The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
