This position is responsible for documenting and performing maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturer and ASTM F24 requirements. This position will also require knowledge/experience in regulatory inspections, repairs, schematics reading, inventory upkeep, ability to instruct and observe proper guest and employee safety, always maintain proper communication with management and operations department. This position invites new innovative ideas and concepts pertaining to the maintenance field of all our attractions. The ability to research the idea/concept, provide pros and cons, and be able to present it to management. This position will perform both short and long-term projects following management directives abiding by all ride compliances with all applicable ASTM F24 and Local regulations. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Position Requirements Responsibilities & Duties: Ensures the ongoing safety, efficiency, and availability of amusement rides and devices at the facility in accordance with manufacturer requirements. Suggest new departmental policies and procedures on an ongoing basis, making specific recommendations to improve safety, ride availability, and departmental performance. This is a new attraction and department; help make it better! Ensures that all employees work safely and in compliance with all local laws, work rules, and best practice guidelines. Perform ride repairs, ride maintenance, and ride rehabilitation functions within the division. Perform, document, and maintain the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual ride inspections. Regulatory housekeeping and cleaning requests. Communicate any and alldepartment status’, inventory, record keeping, compliance issues, wear tolerance specifications to management on an ongoing basis. Including any other ride maintenance issues, employee concerns, guest complaints, special requests, and any other unusual occurrences or situations in order to maintain optimal department performance. Abide by all AREA15 policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: Preferred Hydraulics/Mechanical experience Some knowledge of Amusement Industry standards and practices including ASTM F2291, F1193 and F770. 2 years (minimum) of experience in specific maintenance components. (Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical/motor, chassis, carriage, hoist, rigging, etc.) Willingness to be in and thrive in an evolving, multi-disciplined, diverse technical team. Decision maker with the ability to work under pressure. Skills in identifying and developing ones-self while accepting coaching/training from management. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. Certified and/or ability to be certified to operate boom and scissor lifts. Ability to climb ladders and work in heights of (but not limited to) 131 ft. Ability to lift at least 75lbs. Ability to learn, adapt, and self-educate when necessary. Self-starter and motivated. Strong troubleshooting skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical components with some PLC knowledge. Ability to work in all weather conditions relating to our ride attractions pertaining to the given restrictions. Capability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language. Computer skills in Microsoft applications. (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)   This position is currently not accepting applications.
