We pride ourselves on providing expert, accurate and concise results as a product of our highly talented and passionate team of professionals. We believe the team we build today will be the foundation of our future success. The Specimen Accessioning staff supports the laboratory technologists with sample intake. This entails following all relevant SOPs in receiving, opening and logging newly received specimens for subsequent analysis The Specimen Accessioner's primary responsibilites are as follows: Accept delivery of specimens for couriers Open incoming bags of specimens Sort specimens by category Match information on specimen containers to that written on the requisition Input patient and client demographics into LIS Note any exceptions in specimen quality and missing identifiers Label aliquot tubes and requisition sheets Aliquot specimens Assist in maintaining Rejection Log Dispose of biologically hazardous materials in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures Dispose of garbage in your work area Dispose of processed samples in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures Provide assistance in scanning requisitions Disinfect all surfaces in your work space at the end of shift Maintain patient and client confidentiality Education Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivilent   Position Requirements Requirements High School Diploma required Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree preferred 1-2 years experience in laboratory accessioning perferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Type 50-60 words per minute Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to lift 20 pounds Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills What you should bring to the team: Enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit Strong interpersonal skills fostering a positive environment Effective communication with all levels of staff Job Hours: Monday to Friday 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM (as per business needs these hours may change)   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location Acutis Corporate   This position is currently not accepting applications.
