Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including carpentry, HVAC, basic electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, material handling equipment and mechanical operations. The maintenance technician is an active member in promoting safety in the workplace.

  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Creates work orders as work is initiated and maintains reporting including completed work orders, parts and material used and description of work completed.
  • Works independently and with other team members to plan and complete repair work using building's blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
