Salary Range: $65,000-$72,000/yr

 

Position Summary:

The Financial Services Manager is on the front-line of donor, vendor and staff service at WorldVenture, playing a critical role in overseeing the Donor Receipting and Accounts Payable functions in the ministry. This position is responsible for leading a team of four Financial Services Staff, managing a highly transactional service area and representing this service area within the organization. This position best fits a person who likes customer service, leadership, solving problems, yet also enjoys the balance that comes from “crunching-the-numbers” through reconciliations and reporting. The Financial Services team is a part of the Finance department that supports the organization in achieving its global vision.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train up to four Financial Services staff
  • Oversee and manage the accurate recording of donor contributions and the issuance of accurate receipts and year-end statements
  • Sets the tone for standards of service for donor, vendor, and staff interactions
  • Handle escalated donor, vendor, global worker, and staff inquiries that the Financial Services staff cannot address
  • Uphold and assist in developing organization policy, procedures and internal procedures and controls
  • Train new global workers on the receipting and accounts payable process and policies tying in the mission needs and best practices with the global worker’s needs
  • Backup for donor contribution and accounts payable data entry, as needed
  • Oversee and Financial Service projects and deadlines within the department
  • Donor Receipting
    • Oversee updates to recurring donations initiated by donors and ensure that commitment (open-ended pledges) records are updated
    • Ensures that Financial Services staff are keeping database is accurate by overseeing and initiating quality control procedures over the database
    • Coordinate with Partner Ministries Division on communications to donors
  • Accounts Payable
    • Coordinate and review payment reports of all WorldVenture bills and expense reports on a regular schedule
    • Oversee, dispense and account for petty cash account(s)
    • Oversee the preparation of annual Form 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC filings and other compliance filings as needed
    • Communicate and coordinate the bi-monthly disbursement schedule to the organization
    • Oversee corporate credit card expense reports to ensure they are processed timely and on schedule
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned

 

 
Position Requirements

Education and Formal Training:

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable and data entry required
  • BA or BD in Finance, Business, or accounting or a commensurate level of directly related experience required
  • Experience leading teams and developing people
  • Understanding of CRM (SalesForce) preferred
