Position Summary

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Dynamics Administrator directly leads all efforts for ERP administration and improvements, and is primarily responsible for maintenance, controls, data integrity, functionality, troubleshooting, integrations, change management, and improvements related to Dynamics AX 2012 R3. Additionally, the Dynamics Administrator is responsible for the coordination of and communication with interested parties as it relates to their requirements and responsibilities. As used below “ERP system” includes all applications and services required to meet users ERP related requirements.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure functionality, design and configuration of ERP system meets business process owners' requirements.
  • Ensure ERP design and configuration meets industry best practices.
  • Ensure customizations are not developed when ERP system could be configured to meet requirements.
  • Guarantee stability of the ERP through regular deployment of tested system upgrades, management of server workload and proper user security.
  • Troubleshoot ERP system issues and errors, and clearly communicate their root cause, status of resolution, and recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Management and coordination of Dynamics related efforts with internal and third parties as needed (including development efforts).
  • Ensure data integrity within the ERP system.
  • Assist business process owners with process design following best practices.
  • Development and maintenance of test plans with business process owners to meet their needs.
  • Coordination and maintenance of multiple environments to support Dynamics AX testing, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Provide training to business process owners as needed.
  • Evaluate business requirements and provide business process owners with various options to meet those requirements with estimated costs.
  • Recruit, manage and develop the team of analysts that will assist end users in documenting current procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Work Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or better
  • Experience in configuration, management, and troubleshooting the Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, General ledger, Cash and bank management, Procurement and sourcing, Product information management, Master planning, Production control, Inventory management, Project Management and Accounting, Sales and Marketing, and Organization administration modules in Dynamics AX 2012 R3
  • Strong, well-rounded business acumen
  • Ability to liaison between operational and administrative functions related to system business requirements and build-out functionality
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting access to Dynamics AX 2012 R3
  • Experience leading testing and training efforts for ERP systems
  • 5 years’ experience in Dynamics AX
  • 3 years’ experience administrating at least 5 of the above modules in Dynamics AX 2012
  • Strong aptitude towards creating stand-alone documentation for all work performed, as well as system processes
  • Desire and internal motivation to develop and expand skill set
  • Strong preference toward standard best practice configuration (i.e. avoiding customization)

Preference:

  • Experience configuring and maintaining reporting related to Dynamics AX 2012 (SSAS, SSRS, and exposing data to Excel and Power BI)
  • Experience developing and maintaining Enterprise Portal for Dynamics AX 2012
  • Experience with SQL as it relates to Dynamics AX (database, SSAS, SSRS)
  • Experience maintaining SQL servers
  • Experience maintaining servers supporting Dynamics AX 2012
  • Experience onboarding additional businesses to Dynamics AX 2012

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Good English communication skills both verbal and written

Physical Requirements

  • 100% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking, and viewing.
