The Report Development Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties related to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of company mission-critical internal and client facing reports developed in Microsoft Visual Studio/SSRS. This position is also responsible for researching and supporting implementation of future reporting platforms such as Microsoft Power BI.
Duties and Responsibilities • Use established work procedures to analyze, design, develop, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot internal and client-facing reports. • Collaborate with other team members on design of new reports and/or improvements to current reports. • Provide technical support to internal report users and helpdesk teams. • Develop ad-hoc and special-use reports as requested. • Follow all department standards and methodologies for report development.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Computer Science, Computer Information Services, or Software Engineering) or equivalent technology experience. • Preferred 2+ years of experience in report development using Microsoft tools and technologies including: Visual Studio, SSRS, and/or Power BI. • Good understanding of SQL Server. • Strong analytical and logical thinking ability. • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to stand, walk, sit, speak, hear, see and use hands to handle objects.
