Description

Chiaravalle Montessori is looking for an experienced, professional and steadfast office assistant to support our front desk office team.  This person will report directly to our Director of Enrollment Management. The Receptionist position is a part-time 20 hour position scheduled onsite Monday - Friday 2pm - 6pm.  This is a 12 month position starting in June 2024.  The salary is between $15 - 19 per hour, 20 hours per week.

THE SCHOOL

THE POSITION

The Receptionist will manage the front desk activities in the afternoon to include greeting students/faculty/guests, answering and directing phone calls, providing basic information and guidance, and assisting with other administrative duties as needed.  This person will also assist with dismissal procedures and supporting after school activities.  The Receptionist is the first point of contact for all incoming employees, students and guests.  This person needs to have the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.  The Receptionist will also work with the Director of Enrollment Management to help maintain student records, coordinate prospective family inquiries, and assist with special events and projects. 

 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Two years of experience in administrative support position.
• Skilled with databases, PC and Mac computer systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Veracross a plus.
• Experience in Customer Service and/or Customer Relations is desired.
• Resourceful, prioritizes and manages multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with confidential information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn organizational procedures, practices and policies.
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls and tasks in a patient, kind manner.
