WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform emergency repairs to various types of industrial machines in the production area.
  • Operate power equipment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Notify maintenance and supervisor of needed machine repairs or areas of maintenance concern.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machineries such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
  • Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
  • Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
 
Position Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL REQUIRE:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of progressive experience in a maintenance field.
  • Experience working in a production environment.
  • Be able to read building and electrical schematics.
  • Possess excellent skills in techniques in repairing and maintaining industrial/production machines.
  • Should have basic math skills.
  • Should have excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently in an often fast-paced environment
