Base Wage $14.28-$21.61 based on experience  

Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SALCommunity Services, is the Quad Cities areas leading provider of early childhood care and education and now includes the Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships program. As an Early Head Start Teacher on our team, you will create a quality learning environment that actively engages children to both learn and play and support families. You will play a role in enhancing the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth of children. This means youll do things like:

  • Implement lesson plans;
  • Assess the developmental needs of children to build their knowledge and skills;
  • Develop positive working relationships with families; and,
  • Participate in personal development to grow your own knowledge, skills and abilities as an early childhood educator.

Early Head Start Teachers must obtain background clearances, be able to travel or have reliable transportation, be able to complete physical tasks such as sit, stand, stoop, lift and carry up to 45 pounds, and view children, havea Child Development Associate credential (CDA) or ECE degree, and at least one year of experience. Additional detail will be provided prior to an interview. Requests for reasonable accommodation as required under applicable law will be considered.
