Reports verbally and in writing/electronically, their observation and emergency medical care of the patient at the emergency scene and in transit, to the receiving medical facility staff for purposes of records and diagnostics. Assume responsibility for EMS scene in the absence of higher level staff, provide direction and supervision to other employees at an emergency medical scene; provides and directs advance life support patient care and transport. Education/Experience: -High school graduate or GED -EMT-Paramedic experience preferred but not required -Ability to interpret local ALS protocols, company policies and procedures, and apply them in specific situations. Licenses/Certifications: -Active Washington State EMT-Paramedic Certification with DOH/or completed Paramedic Training and awaiting agency affiliation to complete certification -Current AHA health care provider CPR, ACLS, PALS -Maintain/Possess current Washington State driver’s license Physical Requirements Job entails interrupted sleep, walking, sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and twisting/turning, manual dexterity, frequent lifting, use of keyboard and hand/eye coordination. Job also requires normal hearing, vision and speaking abilities.
