What You Will be Doing:
This Assistant Manager will report to the Residential Operations Manager to provide direct programming and services to residents with developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. The Assistant Manager mentors, trains, and leads a team of Behavior Technicians to provide individualized care to individuals within the facility. In this role, the Assistant Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the intensive residential home.

- Ensure the day-to-day operations of the assigned facility and ensure activities run seamlessly through the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems.
- Maintain positive partnerships and effective communication with all stakeholders; engage in problem-solving to increase customer satisfaction as needed.
- Work in coordination with the leadership to develop and implement innovative programming.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and retention of program staff.
- Recommends assignments, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, grievance resolutions, and other personnel actions.
- Evaluates and develops employee performance through quarterly meetings and goal planning with assigned employees.
- Assist program staff in fostering a positive and collaborative team using the agency’s 30 Fundamentals as a guideline.
- Monitors, tracks, and participates in all safety related drills and reporting.
- Prepares, implements, and supervises Individual Habilitation Plans and Individual Service Plans with the assistance of the interdisciplinary team.
- Supervises, implements, and records program tasks and other programmatic requirements utilizing the designated online documentation system.
- Collect and analyze data and records of service accurately following Boundless procedures.
- Ensures and supervises the safety, health, and well-being of all residents.
- Oversees and supervises the planning and preparation of nutritious meals as directed by the Dietician.
- Reports unusual incidents and communicates unusual medical situations as requested.
- Performs CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration as delegated by the nurse.
- Implement crisis interventions as needed and when approved.
- Inventories and accounts for residents’ personal clothing and possessions.
- Secures and maintains household materials; maintains household files for compliance with applicable state and federal standards as needed.
- Performs related household chores.
- Transports clients as needed and operates Boundless vehicles.
- Ensures the proper ordering and dispensing of medication as ordered by the physician.
- Ensures the implementation of medical treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Responsible for completing and following all training assigned. Attends in-service training programs and staff meetings as scheduled. Performs in-service training to employees within the home as assigned.
- Responsible for reading and following the employee handbook and all Boundless policies and procedures.
- May perform delegated nursing tasks and/or procedures.
- Expectation to be on-call at all times and fill in for coverage if none can be found.
- Maintains accurate accounting of resident funds and expenditures.
- Assist with the CQL Accreditation interviews and training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Must meet one of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent AND at least three years’ experience working with individuals with behavioral health conditions, autism spectrum disorders, and/or developmental disabilities; or
- Undergraduate degree in psychology, social work, human development, or a related area.
- Undergraduate Degree.
- Three years of supervisory experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and written.
- Must be detail-oriented and have competent literacy and writing, documentation, communications, and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to use tools and equipment as required – including pushing/pulling wheelchairs and lifting consumers with Hoyer lifts.
- Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with individuals, staff, and support agencies.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset, and at times hostile clients/family members.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant (Training will be provided, if not already certified).
- Medicine Administration 1, 2, and 3. (Training will be provided, if not already certified).
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance.
- No more than 5 points on license.
- Within 60 days of hire, successful completion and maintenance of the required physical crisis management training(s) and certification(s) applicable to the assigned program.

This position supervises a team of Behavior Technicians.
11:00am-7pm Monday- Friday, on-call responsibilities required.
Travel to the main campus and surrounding programs may be required at times.
