Job Summary:

Hui Huliau, a Global Federal Government Contracting Firm, is seeking a full-time FP&A Analyst in Tampa, FL. The FP&A Analyst primary role will be to analyze the current financial situation of Hui Huliau's overall business and subsidiaries. This person will collect, compile, verify and analyze financial information, economic indicators and generate forecasts. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial and Strategy Officer.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Analyze company and subsidiary financial statements
  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast
  • Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin.
  • Monitor KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variances
  • Ad-hoc business performance reporting
  • Present the monthly and quarterly financial reports of various units and departments
  • Secure highly sensitive and confidential financial data and information
  • Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
  • Support management team and the Heads of Department with data-driven analysis
  • Work closely with other team members in order to achieve company goals

Position Requirements

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Understanding of generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ten years of financial analysis and related experience preferred.
  • Prior usage of Deltek and Costpoint is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Predominantly Sedentary work. Work is performed in an office or home office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Requires the ability to walk short distances.
  • Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
