Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Confer with coworkers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.
  • Confer with coworkers on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.
  • Determine system performance standards.
  • Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
  • Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
  • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
  • Train users to use new or modified equipment.
  • Responsible for developing and integrating custom solutions.
  • Identifying, evaluating, developing, and implementing web-based applications.
  • Design, develop, and implement applications utilizing a range of .NET and related technologies.
  • Translate business requirements into specific technical designs and follow standard design, development, testing, and implementation phases of the software development life cycle.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Training and Experience Required

  • A four-year degree in a related field, preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with designing and developing software applications utilizing Microsoft .NET Core / C#.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience developing stored procedures, complex SQL queries, and analyzing SQL data.
  • Experience designing and developing Business Intelligence (BI) reports for complex business data sets using BI tools (GP Management Reporter, SSRS, etc.)
  • Experience using Visual Studio for developing and debugging code.
  • Experience with REST, Zapier, FormStack, and custom API’s.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members.
  • Team player and a quick learning, able to easily adjust to new project requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build clients relationships.
  • Ability to manage complex projects autonomously.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Must be skilled in collaboration and project management.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365 (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).

The governmental structure of the UPCI is basically congregational in that local churches are self-governing: the congregation elects its pastor and other leaders, owns its property, decides its budget, establishes its membership, and conducts all necessary business.

UPCI World Headquarters is located in Weldon Spring, Missouri, on the western edge of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The headquarters building houses offices for its general officials and seven divisions.
