Description

Perform chemical syntheses of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in strict accordance with written procedures and standard chemical safety practices.
1. Show demonstrated success working on multikilogram scale organic chemical syntheses; reactors larger than 100 gallons preferred.
2. Perform steps in chemical reactions in strict conformance with established manufacturing procedures.
3. Record accurate reaction notes, making observations throughout the processes.
4. Knowledge of 5S practice is preferred.
5. Conform to applicable safety regulations including the proper handling of chemicals and use of all designated safety equipment and PPE.
6.Accurately maintain waste and disposal logs.
7. Must complete forklift operator certification training. Must be able to operate a forklift safely.
9. Obtain, if not already trained, United States EPA RCRA Hazwoper Training
