Essential Functions:

  • Sort raw donations into Danduxs, Bins, and Gaylords based on category

  • Stage product for the processors, remove salvage and restock supplies as needed

  • Responsible for the proper labeling of outgoing product with transfer sheets;

  • Pulling items of value for shopgoodwill.com

  • Sweep, mop and sanitize hanger stations nightly

  • Responsible for the organization of the incoming product, supplies and outgoing product to the stores.

  • Responsible for ordering needed supply’s timely to ensure staff has what they need at all times

  • Operate Baler machine; pallet jack, hand trucks

  • Empty salvage into Baler;

  • Cut cardboard strips and place them on top and bottom of bales;

  • Secure bales with wire, tip bale onto hand cart and remove bale from baler to store in weighing area;

  • Follow all safety procedures; Report safety concerns and violation immediately;

  • Responsible for wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat gloves and safety glasses etc.)

  • Keep work area clean, safe and tidy;

  • Follow all hazardous waste procedures;

  • Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record;

  • Perform other related duties as required;

  • Receive and sort incoming cardboard, computer, wires and electronic accessories;

  • Follow all recycling process for cardboard and electronics;

Forklift operator—Designated trained employees

  • Responsible for following all safety rules and pre-ride inspections

  • Responsible for loading and unloading all incoming trucks

  • Responsible for reporting any maintenance issues with the

  • Forklift and keeping track of available fuel supply for the forklift and ordering more when supplies are low.
  • Responsible for knowing how and where items are to be stored on warehouse racks

  • Responsible for moving and storing all inventory to utilize warehouse space

  • Responsible for PMS Maintenance log on a daily basis

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory flow at all times

  • Responsible for keeping all trash taken out and placed in appropriate area.

  • While performing this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. Most activities involve repetitive upper body movement and bending.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Requirements:

  • Able to work with minimal supervision;

  • Able to maintain good relationships with co-workers;

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Complete all required screenings and certifications

  • Must be certified to operate the baler and forklift within 2 weeks (IF OPERATING THE MACHINE)

  • Flexible and willing to learn

  • Must be able to understand and follow training instructions.

  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly goals as assigned by supervisors
