This includes, but is not limited to: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients’ status, plan of care and goal achievement.   ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Provides initial and ongoing education and monitoring to patients regarding arrhythmia medication, vitals, health status, diet, and activity levels. Document assessment as necessary. Takes and records patients’ vital signs. Monitors patient progress and identifies any changes in status, acting on those changes to ensure patient comfort and safety. Collaborates with appropriate leadership in order to establish best plan of care for patients. Continually assesses patient care plan and adapts plan to meet patient needs. Follows policy when disposing of biohazardous materials, labeling, and handling of all materials. Demonstrates a working knowledge of theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to care for the patient. Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of licensure.   Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have critical thinking skills and be able to provide information and recommendation based on common knowledge. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of business office procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to multi-task. Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure. Ability to work effectively with others. Skill in keyboard typing and use of multi-line telephone system.   EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one (1) year cardiac experience in a medical office or healthcare field preferred. Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required OR License Practical Nurse from an accredited College of Nursing with valid and current Arizona Nursing License Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an MA or LPN. Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Excellent customer service skills. Medical terminology helpful Detail oriented. Familiarity with cardiac medications and procedures preferred.
