The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the building common areas. The Day Porter is a very independent position that requires a high level of attention to detail. You will be responsible for completing the daily duties provided to you by your supervisor. Constant communication with your supervisor is key to making sure the duties are completed.
Essential Tasks
- Conduct regular inspections of your area.
- Follow job duties that the Supervisor assigns.
- Cross train in different areas
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Inform supervisor of broken equipment and fill-stations that do not work properly.
- Interacting with client regularly to address concerns and requests.
- Duties you could be asked to complete in the buildings you are assigned to:
- Sweep and Mop floors
- Dust
- Clean restrooms
- Take out Trash
- Vacuum
- Disinfect surfaces/touch points
- Clean glass doors/windows
- Clean and polish drinking fountains
- Clean kitchens/breakrooms
- Clean stairwells and handrails
- Clean and polish elevators
- Keep custodial closet clean and organized
*You will be provided a building specific schedule, however the above tasks are companywide and you could be asked to perform such duties at any time.
