Description

The Project Manager III – Training will provide technical expertise in training curriculum/program and course development, curriculum and program evaluation, and training tools and techniques. Will work with others in exercise development to include tabletop and field events from concept through after-action reporting; This is a temporary position but may lead to a full-time opportunity.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Seek and assume higher levels of technical responsibility, manage time effectively across more than one initiative, and apply sound technical judgment.
  • Assist CTR leadership in defining CTR requirements, establishing long-range plans, defining project and program success factors, and implementing assessment methodologies for achieving consistent, systematic processes.
  • Make recommendations to the CTR leadership and facilitate the identification of trends and the desired future state for the CTR Program.
  • Identify and remove unnecessary inefficiencies and impediments to team success.
  • Assist in conducting in-country inspections of facilities and personnel trained, tabletop and field exercises, after action reporting and recommendations for training improvement, development, evaluation, and strategy leading to end state criteria, by providing necessary expertise such as Veterinary, Clinician, Laboratory, Epidemiology, Biological Safety and Security (BS&S).
  • Provide advice and support in developing, maintaining, and improving CTR training curriculum to include conduct of:
    • Review of current courses, assessment of CTR training needs, identification of training areas requiring improvement.
    • Performance of training gap analysis and production of related reports and briefings.
      • Based on these actions and products, the contractor, as part of the CTR Training IPT, will update and maintain the living CTR strategic training plan and standard operating procedures (SOP) that are reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
  • Support at a minimum one (1) CTR Training Week per year, to include a full week of class offerings for CTR Government and contractor personnel.
  • Make recommendations to CTR on, and as approved, provide alternatives to classroom-based training including:
    • Computer-based training
    • Experiential-based models (e.g., tabletop and other functional exercises) as well as the use of fully integrated and updated job aids, checklists, and knowledge management tools.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of training programs in support of highly complex products and procedures for a major area.
  • Develop and implement evaluation effectiveness tools for training programs.
  • Develop and implement new programs and/or procedures to meet those needs.
  • Establish and/or review course content and objectives.
  • Work closely with management to conduct needs assessments.
  • May deliver training courses or assist lower-level trainers in the classroom.
  • May provide work leadership for lower-level employees.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Experience:

  • Ten (10) + years’ related experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate considerable functional subject matter expertise in the area of Training Development and Facilitation.
  • Experience with DOS or DoD desired.

Education:

  • MA/MS preferred with ten (10) years of experience or BA/BS plus eighteen (18) years of experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • PMP or equivalent certification desired.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Capable of working independently with no oversight.

Security Clearance:

  • Secret security clearance.
    • Top Secret security clearance highly desired.

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
