About the Organization Established June 15, 1971, Valley Community Services Board is a publicly funded organization where citizens of Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta and Highland Counties can receive Behavioral Health, Substance Use and Developmental Services services. Valley Community Services Board serves as the single point of entry into publicly funded mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder services for these localities.

Description

VCSB is looking for a Community-Based Services Support Specialist to join our team! 

Benefits

Summary of Essential Functions

  • Manages and Reviews case management referrals, assigns cases to staff, and managing waitlist as needed.
  • Monitor the Medicaid status, liabilities, and client balances of clients participating in sersvices. 
  • Assists staff with the collection of CCS data for state reporting needs
  • Monitors and tracks documentation in client record, such as assessments, indiviualized treatment plans, quarterly reviews and other documents required for grant funding
  • Provided direct services to clients participating in services when primary staff are utilizing PTO.
  • Services and documentation will be completed in accordance with agency standards, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • All applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered qualified for the position:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

The most competitive candidates have one or more of the following characteristics:

  • At least one year of experience working in a clinical setting such as a doctor's office.
  • Previous experience in a mental health care or substance use setting.
