The PSH Peer Bridger will provide direct peer recovery support to individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring disorders within the community participating in the PSH program. Benefits Sign-on bonus of $500.00 included with the first paycheck. Health insurance as low as $20.00 per month for individuals. Family and dependent plans are also available. Nine paid holidays. Accrue up to 20 days of paid time off (PTO) per year from year one. PTO is immediately available upon accrual. Participation in the Virginia Retirement System. Professional development assistance provided at no cost. Summary of Essential Functions Provides direct peer recovery services to individuals participating in the PSH program. Provides initial and ongoing peer reviews of client’s strengths and needs, collaborating with the treatment team. Actively participates in clinical and administrative supervision. Participates in biweekly staff meetings and individual supervisions in order to coordinate treatment services and plan service delivery. Utilizes office-based and/or home visits to provide supportive, skill-based services including linking, referring, problem-solving, and consulting to individuals with substance use disorders. Coordinates treatment services with other agencies in order to help individuals achieve stability. Assists VCSB Emergency Services team in providing crisis intervention. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED with identified related experience, Person with lived experience with a mental health condition and/or substance use disorder who is in successful and ongoing recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorders, One year of recovery, and Valid Virginia driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.   Position Requirements   Salary Information   EOE Statement Valley Community Services Board is an equal employment opportunity employer.
