About the Organization Established June 15, 1971, Valley Community Services Board is a publicly funded organization where citizens of Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta and Highland Counties can receive Behavioral Health, Substance Use and Developmental Services services. Valley Community Services Board serves as the single point of entry into publicly funded mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder services for these localities.

Description

VCSB is looking for a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Specialist to join our VCSB compassionate team! The PSH Specialist manages and monitors the PSH program for individuals and families and promotes participants’ housing stabilization.

Summary of Essential Functions

  • Completes assessments to determine eligibility for permanent supporting housing.
  • Participates in the development of the consumer’s service plan.
  • Refers, links, and coordinates services.
  • Monitors and provides follow-up services to participants in maintaining their homes, including in-home visits, support, advocacy, problem solving, and identifying necessary resources.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • All applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered qualified for the position:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • One year’s experience working in the community resources field.
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
