Salary Range: $50,096 to $60,115 annually based on education, experience, and credentials.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with occasional evening work as job duties demand.

What You Will be Doing

The ideal candidate will be providing supportive, team-based nursing care and supervising the work of the Medical Assistants in a fast-paced primary care and outpatient psychiatry clinic. The LPN Supervisor will also provide back up to the Medical Assistants, working within the scope of their license to ensure that the physical and behavioral health needs of the patients are met and maintained on an individualized basis, following policies and procedures and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The LPN Supervisor will effectively interact with individuals served, their families, our Boundless associates, and other health team members while maintaining all standards of professional nursing.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision and consultation to the Medical Assistants in the overall management of health services with particular attention to the identification of health and wellness needs.
  • Ensures coordination of care of medical, behavioral health, and wellness services; serves as the medical liaison with individuals served, families, physicians, and significant others.
  • Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments, documentation, and maintained medical documentation.
  • Carries out medical direction from the licensed physician or registered nurse.
  • Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures training needs are met.
  • Provides training and observations related to prescribed medications/treatments/immunizations, and drawing labs, as needed.
  • Ordering inventory including but not limited to medications, vaccines, point of care tests, LapCorp items and other items deemed appropriate.
  • Assist in medical procedures, when needed
  • Provides consultation and education services to staff, individuals, parents and significant others regarding health and safety related issues.
  • Participates as member of the interdisciplinary team working with other professional staff assessing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying care plans to best support the needs of the individuals.
  • Performs the duties of the Medical Assistant’s in their absence.
  • Provides medical and wellness input to various assigned committees for strategic planning, policy development, and quality assurance.
  • Attends meetings and training as necessary.
  • All other assigned duties.

Minimum Education/Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Currently in good standing LPN License with the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Covid-19 vaccine.
  • One year of experience working as an LPN in a primary care or urgent care clinic setting.

Preferred Education/Qualifications

  • Experience working as an LPN with individuals with behavioral health conditions or intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Preferred valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance; insurable driving record (five points or fewer).

Required Licensure/Certification

  • First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant; or the ability to become certified in CPR/FA within 60 days of hire (training will be provided).

Special Skills and Requirements

  • Must be detail-oriented and have competent literacy and writing, documentation, communications, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Must be able to use tools and equipment as required – including pushing/pulling wheelchairs, lifting consumers with Hoyer lifts.
  • Must be competent in using computers, mainly working in an electronic health record, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • Successful completion of training in trauma-responsive care and crisis de-escalation/management within 60 days of hire.

Prerequisite
The prerequisite for this position is candidates either need to be fully vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated.
