Description

Position Objective: Support the Museum's mission by management and admistration of the Museum's membership and donor CRM, reservations, ticketing, and sales software, working with team leaders to develop solutions to support business needs.

Responsibilities

 

Database system administration

  • Overall administration, monitoring, issue management, and production for Museum databases.
  • Review database design and integration and make recommendations regarding enhancements or improvements with current software providers and the external marketplace.
  • Monitor systems maintenance notices, upgrades and impacts across operations.
  • Maintain user profiles, permissions, and access.

 

System operations:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for optimal data integrity, analysis, reporting, and collaborate across teams to ensure compliance with system best practices.
  • Work with internal teams to deliver builds including but not limited to daily admission events, camps and classes, family and school group programs, fundraising events, discounting, and the on-site and online sales of these offerings.
  • Provide tools needed to train staff and maintain department-specific user information guides and system best practices.
  • Provide training and support to various teams to develop reports, tools, queries, and to support new initiatives.
  • Design and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to various departments.

 

Data Analysis

  • Maintain the quality and integrity of guest and member information through accurate data entry, record keeping, and management.
  • Design and create departmental dashboards to provide targeted insights thorughout the Museum.
  • Bridge the gap between IT and business functions using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to department teams.

 

Other:

  • Serve as a member of Digital Squad, a cross departmental team that collaborates to help assess and evaluate Museum technology as it relates to institutional goals.
  • Always demonstrate adherence to Museum safety procedures.
  • Engage with Museum visitors in a positive and helpful way to support an enjoyable and safe guest experience.
  • Prioritize the Museum's values of inclusion and kindness in all interactions with staff, volunteers, and guests.

 

Actual Pay Rate: $55,000-$65,000/annually

 
Position Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum of two years (2+) experience in relational database management including builds, queries, report design, and delivery.
  • Execellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to define and implement data solutions and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to document procedures and articulate technical solutions to management and staff.
  • Ability to proactively understand the product marketplace and solutions to deliver quality user experience and sound analytics.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative enviornment.
  • Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.
  • Proficent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Able and willing to embrace Museum mission of science as a way of knowing

 

Desired:

  • Experience with Altru or other Blackbaud CRM software
  • Knowledge of various CRM software used across the museum and/or nonprofit industry.
  • Experrience in museum and/ or nonprofit enviornment.
  • System implementation and project management experience.
  • SharePoint experience.
