Share Email Opening Title Accounts Receivable Specialist   Location Irvine, CA   Category Accounting/Finance   Description LSA’s Finance Department is seeking to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The candidate will be primarily responsible for cash collection calls, daily cash reporting, and creating and applying all cash receipts. Flexible workplace schedules are arranged with supervisor and allow for potential remote opportunities. The candidate will at a minimum need to go into the Irvine office each week to deposit checks. The salary range for this position is $52,000 to $62,000 per year. The compensation offer will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.   Position Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Make collection calls as needed and draft client reminder letters. Create client cash receipt application entries daily. Create other cash receipt and payments entries as needed. Keep VP of Finance and Director of Financial Reporting apprised of the cash flow. Process client refunds overpayments or returns of retainers via check requests to A/P. Fill out ACH Requests for clients. Work closely with billing and Project Managers on any variances that may occur. Send Monthly AR Statements and send copies of invoices to clients as requested. Assist CFO and Director of Project Accounting with various other projects and reports.   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel. Detail oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve problems. Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data. Effective organizational skills. Quick learner, able to work with minimum supervision.   Qualifications Experience: Previous accounts receivable, collections, or customer service experience required.   Compensation The salary range for this position is $52,000 to $62,000 per year.
