Systems and Network Administrator - Hybrid (50% Office/50% Remote)

The System and Network Administrator is responsible for helping with the design, planning, operations, security, and day-to-day management of the organization's local and wide-area data and voice services networks, servers, computers, networking devices, storage systems, and backup/recovery services. This position involves considerable responsibility for the health, operations, and security of all computers, servers, storage, and network devices that comprise the TFCU technology platform.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Partner in the support and administration of system applications/software, LAN/WAN hardware/appliances/ services, Microsoft Windows servers/workstations, and telecommunication services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to systems and network administration services.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining systems and network users, user environments, directories, and security.
  • Train users on TFCU software and related equipment usage.
  • Effectively communicate with departments regarding software, hardware, and operations issues and instructions.
  • Deploy and maintain system patches/security features/operational upgrades as necessary to ensure security compliance and operational stability of the environment.
  • Provide support to TFCU office/branch locations either remotely or at the branch location. (Driving required).
  • Maintain ticket/queue processes and utilize Change Control procedures for all system changes.
  • Maintain technical and procedural skills/knowledge and project/progress tracking in cooperation with the needs of the department/organization.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University or four to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent (combination of education and experience).
  • Microsoft Windows 10 and/or Windows Server Administration certification or extended AD-related coursework.
  • Cisco CCENT, CCT or higher certification or extended data/voice administration-related coursework.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or extended Service Desk/ITSM administration experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms

  • Must be able to learn and understand the technical environment and applications quickly and keep up to date on new methodologies, related to Integration.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in an organized and timely fashion.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
