Customer Support - Spanish Speaking – $22 - $24/hour

Summary:

The primary function of this position is to manage existing clients allowing for efficient and effective customer service and revenue acceleration for the Company. The Customer Support Specialist will be responsible for lead generation that supports our Sales Team. As the primary point of contact for the assigned customer accounts, this role will serve as additional business development for our Sales Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Assist the sales team by prospecting new business opportunities and evaluating potential growth opportunities of existing clients.
  • Track and ensure expected revenue targets are met.
  • Analyze targeted accounts and develop recommendations to acquire their business through information collection, marketing initiatives, cold calls, etc.
  • Provide excellent and courteous customer service by understanding customer requirements and needs.
  • Drive sales through pre-call planning, post-call analysis, and follow-up.
  • Educate customers on all new products and services when possible.
  • Correctly capture customer requests in the company’s system.
  • Receive customer communications, prepare orders, and expedite delivery, working with operations and logistics departments.
  • Review the accuracy of incoming and outgoing orders and immediately correct any issues as needed.
  • Assist with processing special orders and developing customer price lists.
  • Learn and maintain high levels of product knowledge to properly service customers.
  • Engage in upselling activities by anticipating customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with the customer to grow the top line.
  • Working as an advisor, inform the customer of items not ordered or out of stock per the regular ordering process. Offer appropriate alternatives that meet customer needs.
  • Ensure customer information accuracy and data entry into the company database is correct.
  • Track stock levels.
  • Ensure total compliance with all company policies and government regulations.
  • Coordinate customer training.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing personnel.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required.
 
Position Requirements

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum, high school diploma or GED; some college experience preferred.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Spanish languages
  • Knowledge of the food industry and related products preferred.
  • Adhere to customer service and sales principles and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of Inventory software, Order processing systems, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Regularly required to lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
