Lone Star Apple, LLC is doing business as Applebee's and became part of our family in September 2019. The Company is a franchise that is based in El Paso, Texas and operates 10 stores in El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico. Applebee's is one of the world's largest casual dining brands. Applebee's started in 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia with the same philosophy we embody today - Eatin' Good in the neighborhood.



BOSS Restaurants, LLC. is a sister company to Pizza Properties, Inc. which was established in 2017 by local restaurateurs Kirk Robison and John Geske. It is an exciting new fast-casual concept devoted to servicing fresh, hand-made chicken tenders with irresistible sauces, all-beef grilled hot dogs, hand-cut fries, Texas toast and delicious frozen custard. Delectable food made and served with Love is the BOSS promise.

Description

As an Applebee's Cook, you will make our amazing menu items worth coming back for. You need to be a great communicator and be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You will work hard, but have a great time doing it!

Primary Responsibilities: Completes all assigned prep work and sets up cook's station. Maintains product presentations, product quality and cook time standards. Prepares all menu items according to Applebee's Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications.

Specific Functions and Duties:

  • Prepares menu items according to Applebee's Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications
  • Completes all assigned prep work
  • Sets up workstation according to station diagram
  • Practices sanitary and safe food handling at all times
  • Cleans and sanitizes the work area before, during and after shift
  • Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects

Position Requirements

Qualification Standards:

  • Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves
  • Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
  • Capable of using knives, slicing equpment and other preparation equipment
  • Mobility required during the entire shift
  • Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day
  • Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others

Physical Requirements: Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees, dining room staff, and guests. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to six (6) hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 40 pounds in weight. Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication. Must possess finger and hand desterity for using small tools and equipment.
