Job Title: Payroll and Benefit Specialist

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the processing of bi-weekly payrolls and assisting with the administration of benefits for a portfolio of managed properties. This is a new position created from growth within the company and we are excited to see what the right person can do with this opportunity. The Specialist will work very closely with the VP of People, General Managers, and Accounting Team. This position is full time, non-exempt and will report to the Controller.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll and benefits, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all payroll-related activities.
  • Provide timely and accurate administration of benefits including open enrollments, renewals, changes, and terminations for benefits programs including medical, dental, vision and 401k
  • Work with managers to maintain complete and accurate employee files
  • Provide excellent customer service to our team members, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the administration of 401K plans, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and laws.
  • Complete other tasks and projects as assigned

Experience, Skills, and Education

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations and laws
  • Experience with Paychex Flex and/or other payroll processing systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, human resources, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
