What you will be doing:
In this position you will be part of a fast-paced environment, responsible for managing complex projects which meet budget and schedule to client satisfaction for services related to transportation planning, project funding, bicycle/pedestrian planning, land use analysis and impacts, research, analysis and impacts, and environmental documents. If you enjoy working on multiple projects & collaborating with others, this is a great opportunity!
What we are looking for:
- Experience in project management
- Ability to write and manage the development of professional planning studies
- Knowledge of transportation planning methods and application at the local and regional level
- Knowledge of multimodal, active transportation and bicycle-pedestrian planning methods and design standards for application in urban and rural areas
- Experienced in agency and stakeholder involvement techniques and processes
- Experience researching methods and statistical principles related to urban/rural growth and development
- Applied knowledge of methods and techniques of effective technical report preparation and presentations
- Ability to work well within a team atmosphere
- Public engagement experience with transportation projects
- Experience with grant and loan application preparation
- Prior experience with environmental review and documentation
Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in urban and regional planning, urban studies, architecture, landscape architecture, public policy or affiliated degrees.
- 10 years of progressive planning experience
- AICP certification
- Thorough knowledge and skills in GIS and its planning uses
- General knowledge of NEP regulations (environmental focused)
- Strong skills in client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of client satisfaction.
- Possess a valid driver’s license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required
