Position Summary:

Seeking a remote sales-minded Reservation Sales Associate who possesses the skills to sell reservations via inbound and outbound phone calls, emails and online web chats in a positive and professional sales office environment. This special individual should be courteous, self-motivated, highly organized and detail-oriented with a desire to be a positive team player. Ability to manage sales leads in a dynamic goal-oriented environment is a must. Knowledge of Revinate Reservations Sales applications and Opera PMS a plus.   Sales incentives will compliment wages earned. “You must be able to effectively communicate with guests and offer personalized recommendations based on their unique preferences and needs. Essential Functions:

  • Assist guests by selling future reservations.
  • Pursue Outbound Revenue Opportunities through our lead management System. (Revinate)
  • Answer telephone calls and emails in a prescribed and professional manner
  • Maintain potential and current guest profile information.
  • Assist customers with questions regarding their existing reservations.
  • Provide concierge services with general knowledge of the property and surrounding area including restaurants, entertainment, special events and general directions.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
  • Deliver the highest standard of service to all customers.
  • Effectively manage daily correspondences and operational tasks to exceed customer expectations and expand customer base.   
  • Display effective computer literacy and be familiar with MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).  Revinate/Navis Certification and Opera Software knowledge a plus.
  • Always possess a positive and upbeat attitude.
  • Professional customer service nature with a desire to exceed.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to be part of high growth, fast paced business.    
  • Stay up to date on inventory availability as well as the selling status, rates, and benefits of all package plans.
  • Understand the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
  • Familiarity with areas of interest to assist guests in planning their Lake Tahoe experience.
  • Process and monitor advance deposits on reservations.
  • Must have an outgoing personality and ability to maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm each day.

Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Working from home you are required to have a dedicated quiet workspace. (Home Office).  In addition to a private workspace having access to a reliable internet connection is essential. (Ethernet Cable is required, Wi-Fi is not suitable)
  • Experience in luxury guest service environment.
  • A minimum of two years related experience and/or training in reservation or hospitality industry.  Candidates with a strong sales background in non-hospitality related field will be considered.  Revinate Certification and Opera experience preferred.
  • Excellent phone skills, ability to multitask and have a passion for service and hospitality.
  • Proficient with computer systems.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights
