Pay: $22.60 per hour.

What You Will Be Doing
We want people to join our team who share our values of love, excellence, respect, empowerment, and well-being. The ideal candidate will provide facility, in-home and community-based respite services and behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. The QBHS Respite Provider will work with individuals and families to provide person-centered care and treatment services. This position will take the lead on each shift to ensure the treatment team is functioning smoothly and all daily requirements are complete. On call rotation required.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Lead BT will be responsible for all QBHS functions in the Respite Program listed below. In addition, the Lead BT will provide direct guidance, oversite, assistance, training and delegation of responsibilities to all QBHS Therapeutic Respite Providers.
  • Lead in the development of and provide services to each individual based on the service needs defined by the team and in the Individual Treatment Plan.
  • Attend team meetings with the county, other providers, and other Boundless team members as needed.
  • Provide services to the client regarding psychoeducation and problem-solving to promote recovery and wellness management.
  • Assisting clients in identifying, accessing, and/or developing needed community services, support systems, and resources as needed.
  • Use evidence-based techniques, as available, to implement behavioral support strategies and provide assistance in the use of communication and mobility devices as needed.
  • Support opportunities that increase problem-solving skills to improve self-regulation, socialization, and maximize an individual's ability to participate in community activities independently or with natural supports.
  • Provide recreation and leisure including supports identified in the person-centered individual service plan as being therapeutic in nature, and/or as being necessary to assist the individual in developing and/or maintaining social and familial relationships.
  • Implement behavioral health treatment by providing intensive services based off the individual’s mental health needs including, but not limited to:
  • Maintain data, documents, records, and materials related to assigned individuals and their treatment plans. Assist in monitoring goal progression. Identify and document when interventions are needed for specific goals due to lack of progression.
  • Involve individuals to whatever capacity possible in community events and activities.
  • Responsible for completing and following all training assigned.
  • Meet required productivity requirements as established by leadership.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus Three years experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges OR a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Required Licensure/Certification

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Within 60 days of hire, successful completion of the required physical crisis management training(s) and certification(s) applicable to the assigned program. Preferred Education and Experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Experience working as a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS)

  • Ability to accept and implement feedback and constructive criticism in teaching, and overall job operations.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must maintain all licenses/certifications /trainings/credentialing as required by the job.
