Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Works in collaboration with CMO and Quality and Compliance Leadership in development and implementation of an organization-wide clinical quality management program. Works with key stakeholders from all service lines to identify areas of opportunity for unified standards, regulatory requirements, codes of practice, guidelines, and technical requirements. Acts as a consultant to clinical leadership on quality, safety, and compliance related topics. In addition, applies clinical and informatics knowledge to the design, development, and ongoing modification of computerized health care systems. May participate in and/or contribute to staff education and health care system program implementation and evaluation.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the development of a clinical practice related quality system of Policies/Procedures/Protocols in alignment with existing company policies and compliant with all applicable regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate in development of a conceptual framework for quality measurement and improvement activities across clinic sites. Summarize findings in the evaluation of the Annual Quality Improvement (QI) Plan.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Data team and other appropriate staff to develop audit systems, perform data analysis and prepare reports related to measuring objectives and tracking outcomes as required by grants, contracts or other organizational need. Analyze and report data, as required, in conjunction with the QI Reporting calendar.
  • Work with the Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Leadership to develop new or update existing clinical outcome measures, protocols, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with policies through a peer review process.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Compliance Program, particularly in the area of risk management reduction, to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures as well as health, safety and regulatory requirements including HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA.
  • Participate in long-range planning and development of measurable, recognizable and repeatable metrics that facilitate evaluation of patient satisfaction, current services and existing programs to facilitate Endeavors marketing, change, and growth.
  • Design, develop, select, test, implement, and evaluate new or modified informatics solutions, data structures, and decision-support mechanisms to support patients, health care professionals, and their information management and human-computer and human-technology interactions within health care contexts.
  • Develop, implement, or evaluate health information technology applications, tools, processes, or structures to assist assigned staff with data management.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Nursing and current RN licensure. A minimum of three year’s related work experience in quality management, utilization or risk management areas or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three year’s related work experience in quality management, informatics or risk management areas or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional knowledge and experience preferred: Data privacy practices; Network, personal computer, communications, and database systems; Statistics; Data analysis and presentation methods and techniques; Project management; Primary care clinical practices and behavioral health; Health Information Technology; Research and analysis methods; Program assessment, development, and implementation; Using personal computers and Microsoft Office software, and health information technology applications; Applying evaluation and tracking tools, including data collection and analysis; Group facilitation and training; Working independently, with little supervision, exercising excellent judgment; Communicating effectively; and self- planning and organizing multiple tasks and activities.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.

LICENSES: Driver’s License with clear record. Current state of Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
