REPORTS TO: Executive Director

SUPERVISES: Dining Services Director, Village Director, HR Director/Coordinator and Housekeeping Supervisor

Pay $ 82,000.00 annually. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess company behavioral core values: Humble, Hungry, and Smart (Emotional Intelligence) Must possess exemplary work ethics, excellent communication skills and leadership capabilities. Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry 50 pounds and be able to move about the community quickly to be able to physically assist residents and/or staff in the event of an emergency.

 
Position Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assures that direct report departments operate in compliance with company policy and procedures and state licensing regulations.

2. In conjunction with the Executive Director, consults with and monitors services of pharmacy consultant, dietary consultant, and beautician.

3. Responds promptly and compassionately to family and resident concerns while upholding best interests of the resident and complying with company policy and state licensing requirements.

4. In conjunction with the Executive Director, participates in the hiring process of all personnel, including but not limited to conducting final interviews, assuring proper reference checks, and testing is conducted, and authorizing all hires.

5. Participates in daily shift change meetings and stand ups.

6. Participates in disciplinary counseling sessions between an employee and his/her immediate supervisor.

7. In conjunction with the Executive Director, assures maintenance of inventories of furniture, linens, and dishware to maintain adequate levels to meet resident needs.

8. In conjunction with the Executive Director, serves as backup to Community Relations Director in conducting tours and handling inquiry calls.

9. Fulfills the duties of any staff person whenever the need should arise to assure the best interests of residents and facility.

10. In conjunction with the Executive Director, assures the proper processing of on-the-job injuries iin compliance with company policy and personally, conduct investigation to determine cause of injury.

11. In conjunction with the Executive Director, assures that all requests for information regarding staff, such as income verification, employment reference request, unemployment claims, etc., are promptly handled.

12. In conjunction with the Executive Director, Plans and conducts staff in-services monthly.

13. In conjunction with the Executive Director, assures that all staff are properly trained, both at time of hire and on an ongoing basis, to meet company and state requirements. Assures that training is properly documented.

14. In conjunction with the Executive Director, participates in all inspections, e.g., State licensure, City, Fire Marshall, Insurance, etc.

15. Assures the community is maintained in such a manner as to be clean, attractive, safe and that the community’s property, staff, and residents are safeguarded.

16. Assures preparation of the staff schedule and that adequate staff are on duty at any given time to meet resident needs

17. Serves as Manager on Duty on weekends and holidays as scheduled.

18. In conjunction with the Executive Director, must communicate all concerns with residents or staff within 2 hours of incident occurring that could result in harm to a resident or staff, and/or state licensure.

19. In conjunction with the Executive Director, responsible to manage low staff turnover and maintain a cohesive work environment

20. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.
