YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds and manages the planned giving program.

  • Manage a portfolio of about 150 prospective donors emphasizing planned gifts of all types and sizes.

  • Develop and prepare written proposals, informational materials, endowment agreements, gift illustrations, charitable trust agreements, gift annuity agreements and other materials needed to secure support.

  • Creates and implements a stewardship plan for planned gift donors to recognize and engage planned gift donors who are not actively being cultivated and solicited by other assigned staff.

  • Creates and implements a marketing plan for planned gift prospects to engage and identify new planned gift donors and prospects, and executes strategy through phone, email, social media, and customized notes/correspondence. Some face-to-face communication is likely/possible on a limited number of accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college; and five or more years of successful relationship building experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Five (5) or more years’ experience managing a portfolio, goals-based fundraising, and direct solicitation. Planned giving experience is preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, CRM solutions such as Salesforce, Raisers Edge or similar; contact, activity tracking and other reports

  • Successful applicants must live and work in Washington State to perform this role.

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
