Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time
Shift First
Description

As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer you will learn to design an industrialized solution from the Design Engineering definition and to develop a production solution which maximizes production efficiency. In this role, you will also learn to create manufacturing work instructions; assist with design improvements and problem solving for manufacturing issues with production methods and procedures. You'll then apply this logic in a variety of areas.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Learn to interpret manufacturing/assembly drawings and process specifications to create accurate technician level work instruction.
  • Learn to optimize order of operations and assembly sequence to maximize build efficiency and to reduce the probability of technician error.
  • Learn to develop and maintain routings and Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) to ensure all parts defined by Engineering are installed during the assembly/installation process.
  • Learn to create detailed industrialization packages that optimize manufacturing process and opportunity for zero defects.
  • Assist in creating time standards to the shop floor as well as standard work for operations and processes.
  • Learn to create rework instructions to support effective corrective actions.Interact with engineering, subject matter experts, and shop floor personnel to ensure that work instructions are accurate and comprehensible.
  • Learn to incorporate Lean Manufacturing Methodology into existing and future processes.
  • Learn to utilize analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization as well as line balancing.
  • Learn to perform trend analysis of shop performance measures to identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Learn to review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services.
