Inventory Operations Manager

Role Overview:

Manage activities relating to the receiving, storing, and/or shipping of materials or finished goods ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct. Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control. Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules. Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures. Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Role & Responsibilities

Will build and manage the Materials Team and reports to the Sr. Operations Manager

Will lead a team of ~15 Material Handlers and Receiving Inspectors

Drive Safety, Quality, Throughput, and culture within the business

Will oversee the materials environment supporting an aerospace electronics manufacturing facility.

Support high mix, low volume electronics assembly and test facility

Lead team through successful development and execution of monthly plans to meet and exceed schedule, revenue, and cost requirements

Responsible for establishing optimum utilization of available resources through efficient manpower management.

Support the development of new methods, processes, and apply them to the manufacturing operation for productivity gains.

Coach and mentor team members to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
