Description

Federal Contract Requirements: Provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination. Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident.

JOB PURPOSE: The Intake Manager works in collaboration with program staff and supervisors to cultivate a client-centered and trauma-informed approach to service provisions. The manager also oversees the Intake Flow and Process from arrival to all the required screenings and assessment. Coordinates with all department heads and leads to ensure that all children in care are expedited through the intake process and that all needs are met and provided in accordance with ORR guidelines. Will report to PCC Senior Leadership to ensure all Intake needs and benchmarks are being met in accordance with the best interest of the children in our care.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for keeping Intake times for the children to a minimum. This shall be accomplished by coordinating with all Intake staff and prioritizing movements of children and speed of staff as they move children through the Intake process while welcoming all children to PCC and fostering an atmosphere of belonging and comfort to all new arrivals.
  • Work in collaboration with program staff and supervisors to cultivate a client-centered and traumainformed approach to service provisions.
  • Oversee and manage Intake Flow and Process beginning at point of arrival of the child transferred to our care arrival.
  • Coordinate with all department heads and leads to ensure that all children in care are expedited through the intake process and all required screenings and assessments.
  • Ensure that all needs are met for each child during the Intake process to include food, clothing, shelter and providing for their safety.
  • Report to PCC Senior Leadership to ensure all Intake needs and benchmarks are being met in accordance with the best interest of the children in our care, and as set forth by ORR guidelines.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • The Intake Manager should embody all the attributes that make Endeavors who we are i.e., compassion, love, generosity, kindness, and always caring. Should always exhibit Endeavors’ Core Values. While also providing all services and care in accordance with ORR guidelines.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or College Degree is required.

EXPERIENCE: 2 or more years of job-related experience in Intake Control, working with shared leadership and cross functional teams in an ORR environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Communication skills. The Intake Manager must be able to document and present their research and related information. A great Administrator has excellent communication and organizational skills, is well versed in departmental procedures and policies, and can discover ways to do the job more efficiently.
  • Computer skills. The Intake Manager needs to have excellent computer skills. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office, Prezi and SharePoint preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills. The Intake Manager spends a lot of time working with PCC Departments, directors and other professionals and must be able to develop good relationships. They must make everyone feel comfortable yet know what and when to share.
  • Organizational skills. The Intake Manager will have multiple PCC related projects consistently. They must adapt quickly to changing deadlines and thus be flexible.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at the employer’s sole discretion. Works business hours but the position requires support before and after workday and weekends as assigned.

LICENSES: Driver’s License with clear record.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to Pecos, Texas and various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.

THE DEPARTMENT HEAD MUST APPROVE EXCEPTIONS TO THESE CRITERIA.

LOCATION: On-Site Pecos Children Center. Dependent upon projects deliverables and priority. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Background Clearance.
