Job Summary
Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs the quality assurance program, designed to ensure continuous production of parts, consistent with established standards, by performing the following duties (personally or through subordinate personnel).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
Develops and follows all appropriate IATF-16949 and ISO-9001 Procedures and Work Instructions in the performance of these duties.
Assigned as the Management Representative for IATF-16949 and ISO-9001 implementation, maintenance, and accreditation activities.
Coordinates Management Review Meetings and the IATF-16949 and ISO-9001 Internal Audit Team.
Manage, coordinate, and control all areas relating to Quality Control and Quality Assurance, including:
Advanced Product Quality Planning
Gage Calibration and Control
Measurement System Analysis (Gage R & R) – Minitab (preferred)
Statistical Process Control and Process Evaluation
Control Plan Development
Receiving, In-Process, and Final Inspections, including:
Dimensional
Metallurgical
Destructive Testing
Performance Testing
Coordinate Measuring Machine Functions
Monitor and report on the quality performance of our supply base, including:
Raw Materials
Secondary Processing (heat treatment, plating, coating, grinding, or other secondary operations)
Purchased Products (components or products that may be purchased complete)
Supplier Audits (System, Process, Special Process Assessments (CQI’s)
Monitor and report on all customer scorecards
Assists in product design, review, and evaluation through the Contract Review Team
Responsible for the Corrective Action System and reporting, including:
Customer Complaints
Internal Rejections
Supplier Rejections
Audit Nonconformances (Internal & External)
Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
Responsible for ensuring that proper equipment and well-trained people are available to perform the above tasks.
Has the authority to discontinue production to correct a quality problem.
Responsible for all long-range and budgetary planning for the department.
Ensure all safety practices are followed by all APG employees.

Corrective Action facilitation – containment activities, toot cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, verification
Customer Portals – Navigation within portals, uploading of corrective action, quality reporting/scorecard retrieval, PPAP documentation
IATF16949 and ISO-9001 Auditor training, automotive process approach auditing
Blueprint/drawing reading and interpretation
GD&T
Gage calibration software
AIAG Core Tools
Root Cause Analysis Techniques – 5 Whys. 3 X 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and A3 analysis
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
