BIS Client Services Coordinator - Diversity & Recruitment

Develop relationships within the community that leads to meaningful engagements with Tulsa Tech to assist clients in meeting their needs. Coordinate the recruitment and placement of diverse student cohorts that ultimately supports a diverse workforce pipeline for the advanced mobility industry.

Essential Functions

  1. Develop relationships and manage long-term client relationships in order to meet departmental metrics and stay abreast of client concerns and changing markets, issues and objectives that will generate ongoing value to both the clients and Tulsa Tech.
  2. Conduct needs assessment activities with clients to identify presenting concerns and underlying causes in order to devise a proposed course of action that will improve the client’s potential for success.
  3. Recruit, manage and monitor instructors/consultants that participate in providing client solutions to assure effective use of the resource and quality of service provided to the client organization.
  4. Develop and facilitate training for internal and external clients based upon job assignment for as directed by the Director of Business & Industry Services or their designee.
  5. Recruit, select, recommend for hire, on-board, manage and monitor instructors/consultants that participate in providing client solutions to assure effective use of the resource and quality of service to the organization.
  6. Coordinate grant resources ensuring efficient and expedient deployment of funding and ensure the timely invoicing of all grant related expenses.
  7. Develop and facilitate training for internal and external clients based upon job assignment or as directed by the Director of Business & Industry Services or their designee.
  8. Develop and present comprehensive proposals for services that include pricing, resource requirements, and use of internal/external instructors/consultants, time frames, success criteria and measurements to promote client success.
  9. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions regarding the provision of services to internal and external customers and in day-to-day operations of the department. Interpret and implement policies in a manner consistent with the interests of the District. Provide advice and consultation to executive management as requested. Investigate and resolve issues as needed, represent the department and District in a professional manner to all.
  10. Perform all essential functions independently with minimal supervision at remote locations, (I.E. client locations) and with limited resources.
 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in project management and/or coordination, student recruitment, resource development, establishing working partnership relationships within private business sector or related roles is required.
  • Extensive knowledge or expertise in the recruitment and placement of students from diverse population groups. 
  • Experience with computer usage specifically with MS Windows and MS Office applications. 
  • 1 – 3 years of experience tracking and reporting metrics regarding student recruitment, retention, and placement across periods of time is preferred.
  • Valid State Issued Driver’s License
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Salary Schedule SPMS  
Hiring Range Dependent on experience and education, plus additional $7,200 annual compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.

About the Organization Tulsa Tech is the oldest and largest career & technical training center in OK. We are an independent public school district, with multiple campuses in the Tulsa County area. Our school serves secondary students from public school districts throughout Tulsa County, as well as private, parochial and home-schooled students.
