Your New Role At Societal:

We are looking for a People & Culture Generalist.  In this role, you will partner closely with the People & Culture team in providing strategic support to employees and the organization. This is a visible role in our organization that partners with employees and site leaders to elevate the employee experience. This role will also oversee the management of California leave of absence and accommodation requests and will assist with sourcing & recruiting.

How You Will Make An Impact:

Provide support and guidance to the San Diego site regarding HR policies and procedures, employee relations and investigations.

Manage leave of absence (LOA) and accommodations requests for California employees.

Own critical business processes throughout the HR life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding.

Support with site compliance with state and federal laws and annual reporting including and not limited to EEO-1, California Pay Data reporting, etc.

Assists with the development and implementation of HR policies and practices. Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the employee experience.

Partner with Talent Acquisition to source and recruit talent.

Support with HRIS system implementation and administration.

Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.

Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

Embodies Societal’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department and company culture.

 
Position Requirements

Ideal Candidate Will Bring:

Generally,  a minimum of four years of progressive HR experience with a bachelor’s degree

PHR or SHRM certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience with employee relations and investigations.

Experience with California leave and accommodations administration.

Knowledge of employment practices, state, and federal laws.

Prior experience in recruiting or sourcing.

Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships with clients and P&C colleagues.

Ability to make strategic decisions and solve problems.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Prior experience with HRIS systems.

Benefits:

For applicants based in California:

The California base pay range for this position is estimated to be $65,000-$90,000. The base pay offered may vary or fall outside of the range provided, depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to candidate’s job-related qualifications, internal equity, market data and geographic location.

We provide industry-leading support for small molecule therapeutic development, end-to-end regulatory support, clinical and commercial manufacturing, aseptic fill/finish, lyophilization, packaging, and logistics services to the global pharmaceutical market. We do all of this in our best-in-class facilities in San Diego, California, and Gainesville, GA.
