Position Summary: The House of Ruth Maryland is the most comprehensive intimate partner violence agency in the state. Our Clinical Counseling Program combines evidence based knowledge with a welcoming and collaborative environment that supports both staff and the survivors we serve. An HRM Therapist provides direct therapeutic services to primary and secondary survivors of intimate partner violence. The HRM Therapist also advocates for client’s needs with other HRM programs and community agencies where appropriate and relevant to the client’s treatment. The HRM Therapist participates as part of a team of staff who address trauma, mental health and other clinical issues clients may present. Therapy is provided both in person and through telehealth format. Primary Responsibilities: Provides one-on-one counseling for adult victims and child witnesses of intimate partner violence and their families, in crisis and on an ongoing basis, in person and through our telehealth platform. Provides comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments for victims/survivors of intimate partner violence. Facilitates support and psychoeducational groups for youth and adults. Collaborates with other HRM staff and programs via staff meetings, case review, and reflective supervision groups. Participates in regularly scheduled one on one supervision with supervisor Responsible for meeting individual, program and agency goals/targets including but not limited to timely, ethical and trauma informed service provision and documentation.
