Description

We are seeking an IT Professional:

The IT Department at Northern Credit Union is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, career minded individual to join a team of professionals that are dedicated to improving the lives of our members, their families, and our communities. Critical success factors for this position include:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the organization’s initiatives and technology by enhancing the Information Technology experience through knowledge and skill.
  • Partners with IT team members and collaborates with other Credit Union teams to ensure effective installation of equipment. Maintains operations of the infrastructure, applications, and systems. These include, but are not limited to, telecommunication systems and lines, Office 365, Windows, VMWare infrastructure (physical and virtual servers), storage, host, active directory, file servers, backups, etc. and ensures they are in a well secured and performing state.
  • Consistently researches and recommends new technologies that could improve the development of IT strategies and policies, increase efficiencies, and enhances product penetration for members.
  • Develops and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with the IT team, other departments, and third-party vendors to coordinate installation and maintenance of department, branch, and data center equipment.
  • Continuously preforms ongoing performance tuning, hardware/software upgrades and OS patches and resource optimization as required.
  • Provides supplemental support in completing end user support requests, ensuring efficient quality service to end users, and communicating progress until resolved.
  • Provides support to the other members of the department through consistent cross training and development.

 

 
Position Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Equivalent of a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five years of progressive experience in a related position required, 8+ years of experience preferred. Preferred fields of experience include network administration, systems administration, information technology project management, and information security systems administration.
  • Comptia Network +, Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), and/or MSCA level Certification is preferred.
  • Preferred years of experience working with Cisco networking technology, Cisco UC environments, managing infrastructure environments, VMWare, Azure, and Mobile device management.
  • Incumbent must exhibit maturity and a demonstrated ability to perform duties in a highly confidential environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with third party vendors, department supervisor(s) and other Credit Union internal owners.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of computer hardware/software, networks, Data Center and computer technology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office 365, Teams, and Outlook.
