Regional Director Trainee Southwest Region (Hutchinson, New Ulm and Mankato) 

About the Organization Founded in 1996 by parents who sought the very best treatment available to deliver opportunities to children and adolescents living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) provides therapeutic services for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have ASD.



MAC's services are center-based and in-home, and include speech and occupational therapy, assessment and diagnosis services, and individual and family therapy. At any given time, MAC serves approximately 370-400 clients throughout Minnesota at 17 centers located in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Fridley, Vadnais Heights, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Duluth, Virginia, Mankato, Rochester, Red Wing, New Ulm, Medford, Hutchinson and Cambridge.



 
Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Regional Director Trainee assists the Regional Director while learning the operational and staffing aspects of one of MAC’s assigned regions of in-home and center-based therapists. In addition, the Regional Director Trainee role should be held by someone who has a deep respect for policies and ethics. This role will be responsible to ensure policies are being followed, but as important, will need to help build a culture that understands the importance of following policies and procedures, and can inspire that in others. Last, the purpose of this position is to help an individual become better prepared for consideration as a future Regional Director.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Duties will include, but are not limited to, assisting with daily staff attendance, PTO requests and timesheet approval, conducting second hiring interviews, and providing staff recognition
• Assisting the Regional Director with scheduling needs within the region with Human Resources, Operations and Therap Scheduling staff on a daily and weekly basis
• Assist with gathering and monitoring regional performance metrics
• Ensure appropriate use and enforcement of organizational systems and policies
• Assist Regional Director in other duties as assigned to help meet operational and strategic goals
• Manage situations involving staff, clients, and parents effectively and with professionalism
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to lead a diverse environment
• Full participant in all aspects of organizational leadership

NOTE: This position will be expected to be on site at locations in and outside of the metro area during the training period. Center assignments will change on a rotational basis throughout the year. Reliable transportation must be available.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 4 years of progressive growth working as a BT or similar in the Mental Health Field with a minimum three years of experience managing people
• Proficient with Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong technical skills as will be working on multiple systems such as Therap and Catalyst
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build team rapport
• Proven track record of success in areas of multi-tasking, prioritizing and goal setting
• Strong communication and organization skills
