Description

Responsibilities:

  • Give a weekly, monthly and yearly tally of ultrasounds (including strain, definity and salient) performed to Administration and the US Dept of Medical Directors.
  • Give a monthly tally of ultrasounds and nuclear stress tests read by each physician.
  • Assign physicians to read testing daily. Make sure all testing is assigned a reading physician and crate reading schedule for physicians monthly.
  • Checks superbills daily for all office locations; make sure each patient has a superbill and waiver (if necessary), before sending to billing department.
  • Download Salient Carotid reports, put in patients' chart and send to ordering physician.
  • Fill Echo 4 schedule in ESO with vascular studies and select echos.
  • Amends demographic information on ultrasound reports in study cast.
  • Create discs of ultrasound upon request.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Must have minimum one year experience in scheduling and/or patient coordinator role
  • Have clear communication with all members of staff, management and physicians.
  • Ability to handle multiple schedule changes. Able to communicate with physicians, administration, supervisors, and co-workers regarding issues and changes.

Physical Demands:

May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend or twist their body, as well as visual acuity.

In accordance with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) order that all hospitals and nursing homes “continuously require all covered personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.” Upon receipt of a conditional job offer, candidates who are not already vaccinated must obtain the first dose of the vaccine within three (3) calendar days of job offer and must obtain any subsequent doses in accordance with the vaccine protocol. The order allows for limited medical exemptions with reasonable accommodations, consistent with applicable law.
