Sober Transitional Housing Supervisor

Job Summary

Position works collaboratively across systems to provide overall management and administrative supervision of Men's and Women's Sober Transitional Housing program including coordination with CADCs for clinical services and CRMs for peer-delivered services. All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with the Yellowhawk Mission and Vision statements.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Provides administrative supervision of Sober Transitional House - House Monitors.
  2. Provides Electronic Health Record (E.H.R) documentation trainings.
  3. Reports to Chemical Dependency Clinical Manager as part of the Chemical Dependency Leadership Team.
  4. Identifies any barriers clients experience in accessing health care including clinical and peer services.
  5. Recognizes and employs the role of cultural, social and behavioral factors in the accessibility, availability, acceptability, and delivery of public health services.
  6. Uses individual, team and organizational learning opportunities for personal and professional development.
  7. Awareness and practice of the BH referral form to address other client needs, as applicable; or as clients' needs change.
  8. Reports suspected abuse or neglect to appropriate authorities.
  9. Maintains documentation, collects data and submits reports as required and in a timely manner; including caseload reports, GPRA, and productivity reports, etc.
  10. Serves as a role-model and educates clients about available services and resources.
  11. Performs all duties with nonjudgment, confidentiality, cultural awareness, and sensitivity.
  12. Recognizes and responds appropriately to crisis and emergency situations.
  13. Evaluates individual's satisfaction with progress toward recovery and wellness goals.
  14. Maintains current, accurate knowledge of trends and issues related to wellness and recovery.
  15. Recognizes and maintains personal and professional boundaries.
  16. Understand and follow Behavioral Health standards, grant guidelines and applicable Oregon Administrative Rules.
  17. Supervise and coordinate clinical training to ensure the ongoing quality of staff and services.
  18. Completes STH staff 90 day and annual performance review's
  19. Responsible for STH staff shift schedules
  20. Demonstrates continuous development of trauma-informed clinical skill sets.
  21. Understanding of and sensitivity to alcohol, other drug use, and the recovery process.
  22. Understanding and support of trauma-informed care.
  23. Recognizes the role of cultural, social and behavioral factors in the accessibility, availability, acceptability and delivery of public health services.
  24. Ability to employ individual, team and organizational learning opportunities for personal and professional development.
  25. Understanding and support of MAT and Peer Delivered Services as critical components to SUD treatment.
  26. Understanding of grant administration.
  27. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  28. Conducts self in a professional manner and maintains strict client confidentiality.
  29. Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare related field with two (2) years progressively responsible experience related to the work of this position.

OR

Associate’s Degree in Healthcare related field with three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the work of this position.

  1. At least two (2) years’ successful supervisory/management of staff responsibilities.
  2. Current Oregon CRM (Certified Recovery Mentor) or ability to obtain CRM within 6 months of hire.
  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and oral, in any situation, with peers, staff, management, local, state and federal agencies and the general public, on various topics including but not limited to policies, procedures and general operations.
  4. Demonstrated ability to handle conflict and crisis in a professional manner.
  5. Demonstrated experience with computer software, e.g., Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records, RPMS.
  6. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
  7. Must demonstrate understanding and utilize motivational interviewing skills for client’s motivation to set goals, for treatment, personal growth, and self-care.
  8. Must have and maintain CPR training certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain insurance requirements to operate General Services Administration vehicles.
  10. Must submit to and pass a reference and criminal background check.
  11. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  12. Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity with Native American/Alaska Native cultures and the CTUIR community.
  2. Experience in a Tribal Healthcare System.
