Diversity at our agency means fostering a workplace in which individual differences are recognized, appreciated, respected and responded to in ways that fully develop and utilize each person's talent and strengths.   Position Counselor   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location Surf Vets- Coney Island   Salary $40,000/yr.   Days/Hours Monday-Friday; 8am-4pm   Description The Counselor is responsible for assisting the Supervisor and Service Coordinator in the delivery of direct services to the supportive tenants, as well assisting in the overall operations of the site.  The counselor provides a variety of services, ranging from the teaching of skills and delivery of concrete services to providing counseling to the Supportive tenants. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides direct care services to the supportive tenants Responsible for documentation of the  supportive tenants’ record as assigned Monitor the site, coordinate and participate in program activities such as recreational activities, safety checks etc. Provide rehabilitative support services in daily living skills, health services and others as assigned Monitor medication; perform medication counts; prepare medication sheets Assists with transportation of clients, as needed Perform unit inspections; train and assist residents in maintaining the cleanliness of individual units Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings Salary: $40,000/yr.   Position Requirements Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least two years of experience in a similar role.
