Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Office Coordinator for Projects and Research provides the following essential functions and responsibilities for the Center for Analytics, Research, & Development & Data (CARDD). CARDD serves as a church-wide resource around assessment, evaluation, and data collection and maintenance. Participates as part of the Administrative Support Network for communal support across the ministries as necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Project Management ½ time

  • Provide Project Coordnation for R&D projects
    • Oversee project timelines, ensure deadlines are met, follow up with stakeholders to assess project impact
    • Documents and maintains R&D projects in Wrike
    • Manages R&D team calendar, meetings, projects, etc.; provides documentation for project process, progress, and results for final reports
    • Maintains and updates R&D and Innovation webpages as needed to provide updates on ongoing work
    • Works with OPTIC digital communications to promote programs and share CARDD/R&D work and data on UCC social media platforms
    • Creates meeting notes from attended and recorded meetings and summarizes major actions, decisions, etc.
    • With Ambassador for Innovation and Engagement, writes and upkeeps policies and procedures guides for partners seeking R&D services
    • Actively participates in and contributes to the innovation partnership between the UCC/United Church of Canada/Disciples of Christ and other denominational partners
    • Prioritizes learning new skills and developing opportunities for increasing efficiency for R&D, CARDD, NMUCC, and other settings of the UCC
    • Coordinates site visits for R&D projects
    • Coordinates R&D engagement with other ministries of the NMUCC, affiliated UCC ministries, and other related organizations

 

 

Research ¼ time

  • Oversight and maintenance of CARDD’s lists and databases in these specific areas:
    • UCC Data Hub and Microsoft Access data retrieval and verification
    • Affiliating/Fellowship Congregations
    • CARDD Conference and Association contacts for Yearbook and Special Offerings
  • Coordinates activities for research projects and ensures communications are carried out and deadlines met
  • Assists in technical aspects of survey research, including survey creation and maintenance and communication with respondents
  • Assists in proofreading documents and reports

 

 

Administrative ¼ time

  • Technological and administrative support by performing these tasks:
    • Serve as webinar technician for trainings and meetings as needed
    • Monitor UCC Yearbook and FACT email accounts and respond to requests, answer questions, or delegate to other staff as needed
    • Work as part of a team to produce the UCC Yearbook & Directory
    • Facilitate planning of in-person meetings of CARDD/R&D personnel
    • Provide general administrative support and assistance including: greeting visitors to the CARDD office making logistical arrangements for meetings and events, answering phone calls and relaying messages, sorting and opening mail, responding to emails, generating and processing check requests and payment; monitoring and ordering office supplies
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to perform successfully in this position.

 

  • College degree in equivalent field plus a minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience; Minimum two years’ experience in research and project management
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, and Excel
  • Strong understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to maintain accuracy of multiple databases
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects with daily work load
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Desire and sensitivity to work in diverse racial, ethnic, cultural and religious settings with commitment to pluralism in the workplace as well as one’s understanding of mission
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work with general office equipment
  • Ability to work in a collegial manner with staff and UCC affiliates
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies

OTHER:

  • This is a Cleveland-based position, and a hybrid schedule may be approved.
