Manufacturing Engineer  

Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical

Responsible for all production and repair activities in support of assigned product lines.

Initiates and drives to completion productivity projects across all of operations.

Subject matter expert on 5S, CI and electro/mechanical production processes.

Authors or edits procedures through the change management process.

Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of producing and repairing products for all phases of manufacturing.

Designs and validates production processes and fixtures in accordance with product and customer specifications.

Transitions production solutions between factories during product acquisitions.  Up to 10% travel may be required for both domestic and international product acquisition/training.  

Interfaces with management to present program status, capital requests, or productivity initiatives.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

On time delivery (optimize process through put and provide technical support)

Deliver solutions that maximize productivity of operations team

First Pass Yields

MINUMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

4-year degree in a technical discipline plus, a minimum of 5 years direct industry experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands: 

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, able to handle stressful situations and multi-tasking, able to work under time constrains, and will at times be required to work with some chemicals and bonding agents.  Ability to lift and manipulate 25-pound objects, sometimes overhead.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
