Permits Specialist / Junior Project Engineer

Description

Cube Root is seeking a Permit Specialist to assist with permit research and applications for various governmental and utility agencies. As part of this process, the Permit Specialist will review plans, identify the needed permits, facilitate the completion of the permit application, submit the application, and coordinate with the permitting agency to respond to any clarification questions and to obtain the permit. This requires an individual who is an effective communicator, both written and oral communication. In addition to the role supporting permitting, this person will serve as a Junior Project Engineer providing engineering and construction management support on various projects as needed. This person will get exposure to all aspects of the Cube Root service offering, which makes this an excellent learning opportunity for someone who is early in their engineering and construction management career.

 
Position Requirements
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in the design and construction industry
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret design drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit
  • Applicant must be based in the DC Area
